Data Rocket Matures Product Offering in 2021 

Data Rocket was created in response to customer demand – after deploying Talend with Snowflake and PowerBi or Tableau dozens of times across a variety of industries, Passerelle developed a framework to accelerate adoption of the platform.  

In 2020, Passerelle formalized the architecture, layering Passerelle IP over Talend and Snowflake connections to accelerate implementation and optimize integration. Leading into 2021, Passerelle released the Dynamic Ingestion feature, Audit & Control feature, Data Security Accelerator and Data Architecture Accelerator and finally the Data Mastering Framework. In 2021, Passerelle released a subscription model for Data Rocket, which include at least two version updates a year. The following updates helped enhance the product, and were created in direct response to the needs of Data Rocket customers.

Data Rocket Release 2021.1 

• BI Tool Setup Accelerator securely scales self-service, accelerating organizational ability to scale self-service out to users in a secure, scalable manner for Power BI or Tableau. 
• Audit and Control Framework and Dashboard captures, records and reports on job execution stats, such as: Execution time, status, data volumetric, errors, etc. It introduces an auditing approach for evaluating various aspects of Job operations in PowerBI. 
• Snowflake Audit Dashboard features warehouse credit consumptions, roles and user security setup, database volumetric and query execution time in PowerBI.
• Beta – Master Record Accelerator reduces time and error risk, creating a master record (product, client, person, …). 

Data Rocket Release 2021.2 

• Snowflake Audit Dashboard features warehouse credit consumptions, roles and user security setup, database volumetric and query execution time.  
• Dynamic data ingestion updated to include DB2 AS400. 

Data Rocket Release 2021.3 

• Dynamic data ingestion updated to include Oracle DB and generic JDBC connections. 
• Audit and Control Framework updated to include rejection table and error code user manual. 
• Documentation created for deployment of completed modules. 

Data Rocket Release 2021.4 

• Audit and Control Framework and Dashboard captures, records and reports on job execution stats, such as: Execution time, status, data volumetric, errors, etc. It introduces an auditing approach for evaluating various aspects of Job operations in Tableau. 
• Dynamic data ingestion includes flat files. 
• Passerelle creates Data Rocket customer facing SDLC guide. 
• V2 Control Meta data architecture is implemented.  
• Beta – Dynamic Transformation Framework
