Data & BI Engineer
Location: U.S./Canada (Remote)

The Data & BI Engineer will be responsible for supporting all the data needs of various departments of our clients. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with high capacity to learn and execute. The job functions include, but are not limited to, developing complex data pipelines, performing data modeling, understanding business requirements and translating into technical solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Will be part of a multi-skilled BI Team and will work closely with the BI data architect and reporting team with clients, partners and colleagues.
Participate & lead Business Requirements, Solution Design and Customer Workshop.
Perform data analysis, dimension data modeling, metrics measures and KPI definition.
Develop and maintain data standards, processes and templates as required to support data-intensive applications analysis and self-help BI modal.
Perform data modelling and provide guidance/consultation on schema designs and extensions/updates.
Will work closely with peers and technology partners to maintain high level of technology enablement.
Design and Implement Data integration, quality, profile, and ELT process.
Aid efforts to perform Data mapping, data extraction and loading.
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve data quality throughout various projects.
Identify the business implications of data-related decisions.
Perform logical and/or physical modeling of data.
Requirements
A successful candidate will have
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT and tool such as Talend (preferred), SSIS, Data Stage, BODS and others
Knowledge of Talend, SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS), SSIS, and or Informatica, Python, R and Data Modeling (Data Lake, Cubes, Kimball, etc) techniques
Demonstrated high ability and curiosity to learn new tools and technologies.
Knowledge of software or applications development life cycle and Java, .Net or Python a must
Ability to conceptualize clients’ needs and translate into specific implementation strategies.
Ability to work independently self-directed and team player and as part of a team
Experience and knowledge in data management, data modeling, DataMart, Data Warehouse, ETL development, MDX, OLAP
